New in 2019 Dinner + Show!
DINNER - 5:30-6:30pm | SHOW - 6:30-8:00pm
The Music of Nashville is now partnered with one of Music City’s local favorites at Opryland - Nashville Palace. The Nashville Palace first opened its doors in 1977 when John A. Hobbs became the founding father and served as its owner for two decades. Jerry Reed was a frequent performer at the venue, performing from the stage over 30 times in the first year alone. The Palace helped launch some of music’s finest artists, including Lorrie Morgan and Ricky Van Shelton, and became the hotspot for Opry legends to pop into following their performances at the Opry House, located across the street. Other artists who have performed at the Nashville Palace over the years include Randy Travis, George Jones, Roy Acuff, Mel Tillis, Jack Greene, Porter Wagoner, Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings and many more.
The Music of Nashville weaves the audience through 60 years of Nashville's most memorable songs and the stories behind them. From Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, George Jones and Dolly to Elvis, Wynonna, Keith Urban and Faith Hill, this dynamic performance will entertain and engage the audience, creating a new appreciation for the historical importance of Nashville to the world of music. This exciting show includes the biggest songs born in Nashville, sung by an incredible cast of talented Nashville artists. The cast is accompanied by some of the world’s finest musicians – whom collectively have toured & recorded with artists such as Shania Twain, Tim McGraw, Chris Young, Carrie Underwood, Alabama, Stevie Wonder, Tanya Tucker & more! This project is produced by Mark Oliverius, credited with over 33 years of playing for Joe Diffie, Mickey Gilley, Pam Tillis and countless others; including Lorrie Morgan’s Music Director for 18 years.
“We’ve needed a show like this! When vacationers visit Nashville, they’re always looking for great live entertainment! This show is just fantastic!” -Devon O’Day (WSM 650AM – Home of The Grand Ole Opry)
